Campaign Chair, Henry G. Hagan

Henry G. Hagan, Chairman, President and CEO of Monumental Life Insurance Company, has been a tireless supporter of Kennedy Krieger for over 15 years. Mr. Hagan currently serves as Vice Chair of the Institute’s Board of Directors, of which he has been a member since 2001. Bringing passion and enthusiasm to his role as Chair of Unlocking Potential: The Campaign for Kennedy Krieger Institute, Henry is thrilled to lead staff and volunteer leadership towards exceeding the $55,000,0000 Campaign goal.

In May, Henry and his wife, Sims, hosted a Campaign Leadership Reception for the Steering Committee and members of the Board at their Lutherville home. Dr. John McDonald, Director of the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury, addressed the crowd on highlights and achievements of the Center, along with Peggy Ingles, one of Dr. McDonald’s patients who has made miraculous progress.

James Reston, Jr., renowned author, columnist and playwright, will be the Honorary Chair of Unlocking Potential: The Campaign for Kennedy Krieger Institute. In Fragile Innocence, released to great critical acclaim in February, Mr. Reston chronicled his family’s journey to understand and accept their daughter’s rare illness, including their remarkable experience at Kennedy Krieger. In May, Kennedy Krieger hosted a book signing and discussion with Mr. Reston at Barnes & Noble in Owings Mills, MD.
